The Atlantic has some good articles.
One that Kevin would like "Your unvaccinated kid is like a vaccinated Grandma"

Though should specify, kids means grade school. High school kids may not get sick, but are more efficient spreaders of the disease than the younger ones.
And there are still troubling signs with the pandemic:

MI is still getting worse. Not as bad as NY, NJ or RI--yet. MI is going up in cases and doing worse than US average, still better in hospitalizations though getting worse and deaths might seems to be starting to follow suit.
The hope was that vaccinations of vulnerable populations could still drive hospitalizations and deaths down even if cases remain high. Looks like there are limits to that strategy.
One other piece of bad new, DE jumped above 25 new cases/day/100K to join the above crowd.
At the other end of the spectrum, WY dipped back below 10 and AZ just dove below that point to join WA, OR, CA, NM, KS, MO, AR, HI, PR.
Other big states (cases): FL holding ca 20; TX just dipped to 14.5
Artifacts: KY: Worldometer shows them reporting 448 deaths for the 17th. Expected values would be around 30.
