This is Charlie posing next to our new drapes. They are still tied up at the bottom because, apparently, we need to "set the pleats." This sounds ridiculous to me, but Marian knew all about this concept and accepted it without question. So set them we will.

Gee, he's a pretty cat!
I assume at his first opportunity, he will arrange the pleats.
Re-arrange - lol .
Right. Our guy clawed the drapes to shreds in the extended stay Marriott we lived in for 7 weeks. Swinging back and forth in front of the window was pretty fun I guess. That and the couch. Luckily I had been a big tipper and we didn't get a bill.
I have a set of lace curtains with a set of conspicuous holes because SOMEBODY decided to try playing Tarzan on them. It was cute though, so she gets a pass.
I have some window screens like that. We also have a large window with a screen that's 3.5 by 6 feet that the cat ripped right off the window, just by standing up, hooking his claws in, and stretching. The amusing part was watching him trying to disengage as it fell on him.
I have a cat that started ripping open screens and jumping out of second story windows because he wanted to be outside. I don't like my cats going outside, but, at some point, they win that particular argument.
Being the artiste that he is, Monsieur Charles prepares for inspiration to flow like the Seine while his canvas is being prepared. Magnifique!
I believe "set the pleats" means "keep them tightly folded for a while so they will stay folded forever".
The little guy is looking so mature! What a pretty cat. Nice drapes, too.
Not for long!
Right. I want to see those drapes in 6 months….
Does Charlie get to go outside yet?
Not yet!
What are you waiting for? Surely he has the maturity by now, and think of the photo ops!
Variations on the theme of beige appears to be a big thing for the Drum household.
ummm, have you seen Marian's quilts? A veritable 64-color-crayon-box of colors!
The quilts do not get much "air time" as it were.
The living and dining rooms are both painted beige.
Does Charlie have an unusually long tail?
But if you tie up the bottom of your pants, people think you're a hillbilly.
