This week's picture captures a short break from the bedtime follies that we endure every night. As you can see, toys are sprinkled all over the bed, and the cats compete with each other to attack them. Charlie usually wins.
This picture also shows how photogenic Charlie is. He looks great, just like he does in every picture. Hilbert is a different story. His face, and his eyes in particular, don't look good in flash photography. This is one of the best of the bunch from last night, and it's still not very good.
Hilbert, tail straight and ready, keen cat eye on both objects. Now win. Good for them!! Both beautiful cats.
Young upstarts like Charlie usually beat out the older wiser types. [sigh]
Black cats are hard. Last month, I finally got an excellent photo of my tuxedo cat, when the morning sunlight backlit him.
Also, isn't young Charles a perfect "standard grey"? The photographer's ideal subject?
If they both had rifles I wouldn't be a bit surprised.
I agree that Hilbert’s coloring puts him at a disadvantage when it comes to photography.
Charlie, the 18% grey card of cats. He is a cutie though.
