Friday Cat Blogging – 5 February 2021

For some reason Hopper has been hogging up my camera time lately. Sometimes Hilbert hasn't been around when I have my camera out, other times my pictures of him are blurred or out of focus. But obviously he deserves his moment in the sun, so I made sure to grab a quick pic of him this week. In this one he's lounging in a patch of sunshine and keeping a close eye on his sister.

    Hey, guess who's back?

Now that Kevin has been freed from the Coral Reef I can share my pearls of wisdom again.

    Any old-timers still here?

    CATS RULE!!!
That said, a common headline for an article asks a question. F'K that!!! I just scroll on by. Why the hell do they signify that: "here comes another of my patented "thumb suckers"."

I've seen potoos perching on fence posts like that at night, but never during the day. During the day, they usually roost out of reach in trees.

The way the fence posts are painted/stained black on the sides and red on the ends is something that I've seen in Ecuador, but I don't think anywhere else, so my guess is that this is a Common Potoo in Ecuador.
