Kevin - I’ve only commented a few times but I’m your age, former fed candidate in WY, and most importantly, a recent cancer survivor (very rare chordoma on my lower sacrum). You are my go to blog (sometimes I feel like we just think the same thoughts). I’ve also, obviously followed your health issues, and I sincerely hope you heal soon from this latest episode and continue enlightening the rest of us in chart/graph form for years to come. All the best, Gary Trauner

You've been a daily read for me for over 20 years, Kevin. All the hopes and prayers and well wishes I can muster go out to you.

Me too- there is nobody better in this business and you have been my absolutely favorite source for news and analysis since at least 2000.

      Please do get better soon.

+1 to this. I was starting to worry about the blog silence.

Sorry you are still unwell. Hope you start to feel better very soon!

Was seriously worried abt your silence. Rest and relax...this may be your last chance before a true constitutional crisis comes our way.

Republicans appear to be attempting to codify anything that the Musk Powerpuff Girls are breaking and destroying in order to moot any court review, though it seems unlikely to pass w/o a rule to eliminate the filibuster.

Some are hoping to add work requirements to Medicaid and SNAP while making changes to Medicare to help pay for a permanent extension of the convicted felon's tax cuts.

Speaking of the convicted felon, people in his administration are trying to walk back his insinuation that there are fake debts the Treasury owes, and as a result might not pay them.

And then there was Tubby Tuberville's slip of the tongue claiming the convicted felon is the only dictator allowed.

So uh, yeah. Rest up before the storm hits.

Exhaustion is real. Thank you for taking a moment to relieve our parasocial distress for you. I hope you can still feel the fur under your fingers when you dream of your kits. Be well.

It's a relief just to hear from you at all. I may not be remembering the source correctly, but think it was in Too Late The Phalarope that "Be well stay well" waa a greeting & sort of mantra. & it is now my wish for you.

Hang in there, a little white tea could be a nice little pickup (and gynostemma if Miriam can find it at Asian supermarket, and if they even let you have tea).

Pukka's three ginger tea w/turmeric and galangal also a favorite of mine, and some ginseng and/or eleuthero and/or rhodiola tea would probably also hit the spot (if you're not otherwise on blood thinners, which is not an issue with rhodiola).

One last one that I drink when recovering from illness, and generally, is tulsi tea (holy basil).

"Ginseng and its derived components’ anti-bacterial effects via multiple mechanisms. (1) Ginseng inhibits the DNA damage and apoptosis by inhibition of ROS, (2) suppresses AHL-(acyl homoserine lactones) leading to the inhibition of quorum sensing biofilm formation of bacteria, (3) inhibits cell division and bacterial proliferation, (4) stimulates B cell activation and antibody production, (5) activates Th1 and Th2 response, (6) ginseng enhances phagocytosis of Neutrophil and macrophage [37]."

As much as we all love to read your blog, you should always prioritize your health. Looking forward to posts when you are feeling better.

I'm really glad you had the energy for just a little post. I was beginning to get worried. This forum isn't very conducive to cross talk among posters (to put it mildly), so it's nice to see familiar faces checking in on you here. Get well soon.

Wishing you every good thing, Kevin. The "walking pneumonia" can suck every drop of energy. I hope you're feeling better soon.
