When I visited Paris I naturally decided I wouldn't take pictures of the Eiffel Tower. I mean, why bother? There are millions of them out there and the world hardly needs a few more.
But wherever you go in Paris, the Eiffel Tower is always there and always begging to be photographed. So I did. But we certainly don't need five days of Eiffel Tower photos, so instead I'm going to post them all at once. Here they are, from a variety of angles and at a variety of times. All of them were taken in late May. Enjoy.
Oo la la!!
Photos of the Eiffel Tower remind me of the tower's cameo in Jacques Tati's PlayTime.
Liberté, égalité, fraternité
It's hard to get a bad photo of the Eiffel Tower. There was a blog that was doing one hundred photos of the Empire State Building, and they were all very different good photos. In some ways, being able to revisit what most consider a cliche and come up with something new is one of the toughest creative acts.
All superior to many postcard-pretty shots!
And appreciated, along with earlier ones of the Drum vacation, since Paris has never been on my bucket list, but I enjoy seeing these views.
Wonder if the captain of that cruise ship still has work, given the declining depth of water in some European rivers.
You need photos from the Eiffel Tower. I have one my father took in the 1930's that I recreated in 2009.
I understand why you wouldn't want to show it to us, but I think it would be kinda cool to see.
