These are white cosmos blooming against a field of California poppies and purple lupine. The picture was taken at the Farm + Food Lab in the Great Park, an "interactive outdoor classroom for visitors of all ages."

I'm old enough to remember when there were just plain farms in OC. And orange groves.
Kinda ironic, the more immigrants to 'harvest the crops rotting in the fields' we have, the smaller the acreage under cultivation.
Interactive how, you can smell the flowers? Or imagine the smell of flowers that have none?
Okay, I miss that the California poppies aren't in focus. Guess I'll go outside and look at ours...
(We planted 'em in 2008 or so, and they've spread throughout the yard...)
