    You got to hand it to the Canadians. They're obviously not doing as good as New Zealand, Australia, or Japan, but their death rate is almost a third that of the US despite sharing a border with us and having a big country with a federalized government as well. I wonder if that could have been us if we'd had a President who actually acted competently.

    UK and Germany seem to be bending the curve. France has more or less stagnated around 6 deaths per million per day, which makes me worry that it will make people hesitate even more to get the vaccine (I'd love to read a longform piece examining why the country is such a hotbed for vaccine resistance).
