It would seem to me that there should be a major decrease in deaths by next month. Most of the people getting the vaccine right now are people over 65. In California, approximately 15% of the population (about 6 million people) is over 65. People over 65 account for the most deaths., in my county 75%. So far California has administered over 5 million shots and things seem to be ramping up. Once most of the people most likely to die have been vaccinated the mortality rate should drop at a much higher rate than the rate of people catching the disease.
This could actually be a problem in that people will think the danger has passed far before it actually has and that might make them less likely to get vaccinated.
