    Kevin,

I mean this in the most constructive way, but the typography in the logo you use in your graphs...needs work. The E and V are too far apart; they need to be kerned a little closer together. And the U looks like it's set slightly higher than the rest of the text; it needs to come down a little (it also looks like it could be slightly smaller than the rest of the text, but that may just be an artifact of the vertical offset).

I just noticed that the squiggle around the K in Kevin’s name at the bottom of his charts is a cat cuddled up to it. Cute!

Nah, the plateau is permanent, & proof the American COVID19 response is running on empty -- just like Demento Joe's mind.

My grasp of science is extremely limited but I don't think a plateau can be permanent in the context of a virus like Covid-19. Either it's stopped or eliminated by some countermeasure or it runs its course and essentially disappears like the Peste noire. The difference being simply time and the number of deaths.

Though this has been out a long time I don't think it gets the attention it deserves,

Vaping substantially increases risk of covid infection,

    https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2020/08/vaping-linked-to-covid-19-risk-in-teens-and-young-adults.html

Vaping is linked to a substantially increased risk of COVID-19 among teenagers and young adults, according to a new study led by researchers at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

The study, which was published online Aug. 11 in the Journal of Adolescent Health, is the first to examine connections between youth vaping and COVID-19 using U.S. population-based data collected during the pandemic.

Among young people who were tested for the virus that causes COVID-19, the research found that those who vaped were five to seven times more likely to be infected than those who did not use e-cigarettes.

“Teens and young adults need to know that if you use e-cigarettes, you are likely at immediate risk of COVID-19 because you are damaging your lungs,” said the study’s senior author, Bonnie Halpern-Felsher, PhD, professor of pediatrics.
'Not just a small increase in risk’

“Young people may believe their age protects them from contracting the virus or that they will not experience symptoms of COVID-19, but the data show this isn’t true among those who vape,” said the study’s lead author, postdoctoral scholar Shivani Mathur Gaiha, PhD.

I can see vape marketing folks walking the lines at vaccine distribution points with free vape sticks. Start vaping now and get to the front of the line, they'll tell people.
