Much like El Tio Pepe on the Peloton, America's COVID Kill List is running in quicksand.

We shouldn't have succumbed to the treacherous, lecherous maneuvers of Creepy Uncle Demento in the middle of the gravest public health crisis since HIV in 1982. (We already lived a demented hand on the tiller thru that, in fact, with Biden's fellow Neocon Ronald Reagan's lacking response to the AIDS pandemic, but apparently learned nothing.)

Can't wait to see what El Jefe Maximo's prescription for beating COVID once & for all will be in his CPAC keynote today.

Running in quicksand??? Nope. Deaths due to reporting lags, will make new lows next week. Hospitalization is down below the summer peaks.

"The opera ain't over until the fat lady sings." I don't hear that soprano voice just yet, although she's tuning up backstage.

It's over. My city only has already one covid patient left after close to 200 in early January. Total cases are irrelevant as well. It's only hospitalization that matters.

And of course your city (which I take it is quite small) is accurately representative of the whole world? As long as their remains a reservoir anywhere in the world, anybody who hasn't been immunised, either naturally or by vaccine, is at risk.

        Yup.

Democrats, rather than being the party of the Klan, segregation, & white supremacy, have become a party of strong, unilateral interventionism, like Reagan in Nicaragua or Bush-41 & -43 in Mesopotamia. The Dunkee Party could not care less about domestic dead as long as the Pentagonal leviathan can exert maximum control on the world at large.

It will take an equally strong localist play, like from El Jefe's hand (2017-21), or his inheritors like Donald, Jr., & Ivanka Trump, Josh Hawley, Tulsi Gabbard, & Govs. Ron de Santis & Kristi Noem, et. al., to stifle American imperial overreach otherwise leading to the fall of the 1776 experiment.

Party of the Klan is later on when bank de Rothschild financed it with the Wilson Administration. The original klan was a big lark. The Nazis called it the Jew Klux Klan for a reason. Democrats were split between bourbon old school liberals and old school populists who were pissed at the poor condition of the working class. Interventions is not new in Democratic circles. Wilson and FDR had it in spades.

Fauci was on the Sunday Shows asking people to still be vigilant--cases seem to be plateauing and places are easing up on restrictions too early.

I've been concentrating on the "lower 48". Hawaii has been hovering around 5 new cases/day/100K, and Puerto Rico is now just above that, which is really good for the US. Alaska has plateaued ca. 16 new cases/day/100K--which is better than average right now.
Overall, US has vaccinated ca. 15+% of the populations (first shot), so that should start showing up in the hospitalization and death numbers soon--maybe even before St. Patty's day. The effects of the winter storm on reporting has dissipated, though testing in TX hasn't fully recovered and I still expect a data dump.

My comment for the 26th got approved, but it isn't known yet what caused it to go to moderation. Length? Links? Luck? So I'm hesitant to continue.
