The SuperSpreader Bowl bump will be coming soon. I can actually imagine it being about the same as the Thanksgiving and Christmas bumps. I had to go food shopping yesterday but went back once the game started. Before the game the line to get in was around the block (that hasn't happened since around April) - and there was an endless stream of people leaving with carriages full of beer and booze.

Do you think take out and Netflix will suffice for a dinner and movie this St. Valentine's Day? Yes, I'm ignoring Mardi Gras--but that could be a problem in Brazil.
(just had first comment go to moderation==talking about CovidTrackingProject)...will wait to see how it ends. Maybe too many links?

CovidTrackingProject will be closing up shop next month (March 7th)--mainly because CDC is now gathering and releasing information:
    https://covidtracking.com/analysis-updates/covid-tracking-project-end-march-7
The CDC (and state dashboards) tend to be sluggish, but at least they are presenting useful data:

CovidActNow (CovidExitStrategy combined with them a while back), has good data mapping, though I prefer the charts from CovidTrackingProject. However, CovidActNow also includes vaccination data:

I haven't checked rick_jones Google spreadsheet recently (Johns Hopkins data), and people here have mentioned Worldometer too:

Thanks for the headsup on the CTP. I reside in Australia. Ruefully, Americans have scant interest in learning how NewZealand (Federal government is Progressive) and Australia (Federal government is Conservative) have effectively suppressed spread of the Coronavirus. I can't even persuade Mr Drum to take notice of this Antipodian success, which has saved thousands of lives and many more thousands from being inflicted with long-lasting recoveries from this virus.

OT: Is there a way to see the comments you have made and any replies to them? I'm still trying to figure out this platform.

If your are logging through a WordPress account using a cellphone & holding it vertically, as I was b4 Steve_ Oh explained, turn the screen to landscape style & you will see a comment bubble at the top right.

When you click on that, a menu will appear with comment options.

"Is there a way to see the comments you have made and any replies to them?"

Workaround: If you use an RSS aggregator, this blog has a comment feed that you can access [http://jabberwocking.com/comments/feed/]. As you might expect, it displays comments only, more or less in the order they were posted, and identifying the author, original post and (if applicable) what comment it is in reply to.
