Anyone ever get the feeling the catchup days from Health Authorities in states with GQP governors are timed to make El Pepe Maximo's performance look worse?

That recent spike to an otherwise smoothly descending curve sticks out like the long iron I stuck in Greg Abbott's mobility device.

I suspect the timing of catch-ups is more to try to avoid anyone noticing. And we had some doozies (eg New Jersey) last year.

Twelve states above 70% first shot (via CDC) in adults (18+).
CA just made it, WA will be there in a day or two.
DC next week and maybe NY--close, and hard to estimate with vax rate falling.

MS still below 35% vax (first dose, total population here), and seven other states below 40% (mostly Sunbelt). As Fauci said, they're just setting themselves up for another outbreak.

Biden releasing more vaccines to the world--good. Though still just a drop in the bucket. Now I hope masks and other PPE are being shipped out too.

I did hear a question on the news about why the EU was shipping out more vaccines than the US. They didn't mention most of those were going to the UK, which bought up the AstraZeneca production. Not sure how much of our vaccines were produced with components from the EU--of course the companies are multi-national with production facilities in many countries.

      Any day now...

People are still listening to Fauci??
