    Hot Takes Tuesday!
    Ok, I'd prefer hot cakes...
and it's really just commenting on vaccinations...

MS still below 35% (first dose, total population). WTF???

Locally, vaccinations fall along socio-economic lines:
See Chicago city data by zip code:
go to cases by zip and vaccines by zip--and yes, it takes a while to load

Nationally, much lower in Republican areas.

DC will cross over the 70% (first dose, adults) threshold this week, and NY might make it too, but it will be close. Next week, VA and IL will cross over too.

Haven’t seen much about this, but it appears that Florida won’t be releasing daily Covid statistics and will instead release them once per week:
    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/04/world/florida-covid-19-cases-vaccine.html
“Christina Pushaw, press secretary for Gov. Ron DeSantis, told The News Service of Florida on Friday that there was no need to continue issuing the daily reports.

“Covid-19 cases have significantly decreased over the past year as we have a less than 5 percent positivity rate, and our state is returning to normal, with vaccines widely available throughout Florida,” Ms. Pushaw said in an email to reporters.
Florida’s death rate was going down, but it was still relatively high. I see this as the Trump sycophant governor trying to hide that fact and pretend Covid-19 is over.
