Good news: now up to 29 states plus PR, DC and NMI at/below 10 new cases/day/100K. The map (covidactnow) is brightening! No states above 25 (CO ca. 23 and falling).
Hotspots: still have over 16 "metro" areas above 25, over 100 below 10. (CovidActNow has 392 metro areas).
Vaccines (first shot) 18 states plus DC above 50%, 3 states still below 35% (Wyoming just got to 35.1%, so no longer counted).
Metro areas: Over 100 below 35%, 52 above 50%
WV was an earlier leader in vaccinations, but now is only at 37.6% vaccinated (#45 out of 53 states and territories).
Infection rates: only 6 states above 1, and then that's only between 1 and 1.05. However that group includes MS, LA, AL--states below 35% vaccinated and WY which is at 35.1% vaccinated. The other states are NV (42.1% vax) and AR (37.2% vax).
