Cases are down below 15 new cases/day/100K for all states. CO still on top, but should drop below WV soon. 36 states plus NMI, PR and DC below 10.
Six states with infection rates above 1, and vaccinations are low: 33.2% to 38.5%. Not all low vax states have relatively high infection rates, but all states with high infection rates have low vaccination levels.

    Vaccination %'s:
    Six states >60%
Twenty plus DC >50% (includes those above 60%)
    Two states below 35%
    Ten below 40%

"Six states with infection rates above 1" Where do you get this infection rate? I think you probably said before, but I don't remember.

There is a bit of a delay with the reported value in the table and the most recent "raw" value shown under the individual states. Data artifacts can still through the values off--so for specific situations, check the number of reported cases and look for trends there too.

Because he's a populist from the left, Lopez Obrador skirts a lot of the enmity & vitriol that his National-Socialist cousins Bolsonaro, Dudek, Duterte, Erdogan, Modi, Orban, & Putin get.

Even fellow socialist Maduro gets more criticism levelled against him than does AMLO.

Kevin's daily COVID death toll charts have been crucial markers for the pandemic.

I hope Kevin can comment on why the current (5/24/21) US death toll is not dropping as rapidly as the case count, at least based on the WPost and NYT daily charts. As Kevin has often pointed out, death count changes have typically followed case count changes by about 3 weeks. But US case counts started their current fairly precipitous drop about April 15. It is now nearly 6 weeks later and deaths, while slowly ebbing, are not dropping as much as they "should." Deadlier variants?
