White House expects 50% US adults fully vaccinated today:

And it looks like we'll be hitting 50% of total population having at least one dose soon too. First shot data doesn't seem to include J&J vaccines--so we're doing better than that.
CNN also has an article on "Young Americans are lagging with Covid-19 vaccines"

Yes, really. Moderna vaccine going up for approval, ages 12 and up soon. Pfizer already approved only a couple of weeks ago.
And Ed Yong at The Atlantic has an article on how wolves minimize deer-car collisions in Wisconsin. That's the best sign yet we're coming out of the pandemic. Now we just have to help the rest of the world get vaccinated.
We need to convince Canada to open up the border and let Canadians visit our CVS and Walgreens to get shots, I feel like we could do this nice thing with low risk because I suspect we are wasting does trying to get more people vaccinated we could do it without denying shots to American residents.
Vaccine tourism. As long as that is not an excuse to keep from shipping doses out.
Should mention, with luck, this will be the first week in like forever where no state will report 100 or more deaths on a given day.
Pretty much no changes from last time. Everyone is on the down swing (some faster than others) with 2 or fewer deaths per million per day - except Argentina, which is having its second wave and is maybe only now slowing it down. Brazil's not here, but I think they're doing a lot better on deaths now too.
The pandemic is basically over in the UK, and getting closer to over in the US. Between those with acquired immunity and those with vaccination, we'll probably choke this thing off completely by late summer, and have our first no-COVID-death day at some point in September.
It still feels weird to be out of that. I think I can relate to the folks who survived the Spanish Flu pandemic and just decided they'd prefer not to think about that again.
