Friday Cat Blogging – 10 May 2024

I forgot to take a new picture of Hilbert before we left town, so instead here's a rare archival photo of Hilbert on his first day home from the shelter, September 22, 2014. Wasn't he a cutie pie?

I guess old age memory loss has got me...I thought Charles was the one who you adopted last year...and Hilbert was the already long timer!???

You are correct. Charlie replaced Hopper who crossed the rainbow bridge last year. Hilbert is an old timer from 2014 . Despite my post above I’m not sure who came first, Hilbert or Hopper.

Weren't they siblings, adopted at the same time? Still wish that Kevin would re-posr a photo of Hopper where he has those of Hilbert & Charlie with a brief descriptio.

And Charlie is a great family addition, but no cat replaces a previous treasured one in their human's heart!

"no cat replaces a previous treasured one in their human's heart!"

Indeed. My old phone, now used mainly to play audiobooks from the library, still has photos of my previous feline, who died at the beginning of 2023. Which is no reflection on my current pair of krazy katz.

Okay I'm jealous - Kevin was able to see the Aurora Borealis with the naked eye in Prague, just saw gorgeous photos on Twitter. Also Paris, New Zealand and I"m sure many other places. Alas it's cloudy and raining here in the DC area and not expected to clear up all night. WAH!
