Friday Cat Blogging – 2 September 2022

This is Charlie testing out our new area rug. He seems to approve, which is a good thing since we got it because the old rug had to be vacuumed practically every day to get rid of all the Charlie fur. We are hoping the new one hides the fur more effectively so we can return to a more normal weekly cleaning cycle.

Charlie, you have to train your Dad to brush you most every day. It is your feline right as a cute young stripey cat. Pick your spot within his arm's reach and issue your edict that whenever you are there, the brushing is to begin. Just remind him to go slow and easy during the tummy brushing. Hilbert out to get in on this too.

Curious as to why Hilbert's black fur is less of a problem, & if - as the senior cat - he will be receiving his own carpet with a suitable room.

Most of the fur deposits in my homes have been from my black cat companions.

As an owner of 2 longhaired gray cats, I would have suggested a rug in gray tones. Oh well, this one will be in gray tones soon enough.

If you don’t rub that soft furry purring belly right now, I’m comin’ over there to do it myself. Where are your manners?

They're overfeeding him, as they have all their cats. And he's shedding because they're feeding an obligatory carnivore crap full of carbohydrates. Yes, recomended by their vet, but vet schools typically offer only one course on cat nutrition, one presented and paid for by high-profile crap cat food manufacturers like Hill's"Science Diet."
