"Now the joke's on us" indeed.
Cats don't like it when their humans read. I've found a way around this. When I'm at the table reading, my cat comes over and positions himself by my hand. Then I stroke him continuously. He lets me turn the page, but if I get up and leave the room, he's on my chair when I get back.
Speaking of "jokes", I finally noticed Charlie photo-bombing in back of the newspaper.
Did Hilbert allow Marian to eat her cereal in peace, or did he help himself to that before settling down athwart her newspaper? He looks supremely self-satisfied, as all cats should be.
Of course, he would have "tasted" the milk... Any food is the cat's food. It's the law!
Any food but the cat's own, apparently - my companion's favorite food hasn't been available at my regular store for months, & the more expensive replacement seems to result in her belief that ALL meals should consist of the three types of treats that she DOES like.
She gets her way too often, unsurprisingly.
I notice the word “PETS” in the lower left. Who is looking for a replacement/addition? It appears The Big H has an opinion on this issue.
