Charlie isn't the only cat who gets to take advantage of my new flash unit. Hilbert is allowed outside where the light is good, but on a sunny day with lots of shadows even a cat can benefit from a bit of fill flash.

Awesome. Noble. Majestic. Deserving of your worship.
Such a handsome fellow - & of course he knows it. Glad he's good with Charlie, but kind of hope that he remembers & misses Hopper.
Hilbert looks like one happy cat. Likely thinking "I can go out and you can't!"
How old is Hilbert now? His white mustache is giving a real Mr. Pennybags vibe.
(Oh, I see, he's 8-ish. The prime of his career.)
Noble beast!
Ha! This is a case of the cat making the photography equipment look good. I used to take photos with a very old Brownie (not as part of my newspaper work, just for fun)., and I bet that The Big H would look just as great with the Brownie. He can’t help it.
A professional photographer friend of mine once was assigned to take pix at a Robert Redford appearance. And she said that RR, in person, looked meh, as if age was catching up with him. But when she developed the film. There he was: a freakin’ gorgeous movie star. I suspect Hilbert is very Redford.
I'm just the opposite, frighteningly unphotogenic, but if you met me in person you would absolutely swoon.
I swear this is true.
By the way: like my new icon? It’s part of the new stamp for the lunar new year: Year of the Tiger. My cat sez it’s about @&@&! time. So happy Year of the Tiger to your all. I’m sure your cats already believe that every year is their year.
What a noble beast.
