Hilbert jumped onto our marble coffee table this morning and began rolling around deliriously. This attracted the attention of the camera, and eventually it attracted the attention of another cat, too.

Charlie: "Is this what happens to people when they get old?"
Hilbert: "Obey the belly"
Charlie: "I was informed there were pets and/or treats?"
Why do you have a bath towel on the table...?
What, you don't cover your marble-topped coffee table with bath towels??
Maybe so a cat launched onto the marble top might not slide right off - or at least not as quickly? Once had a dear, gentle, elderly cat who found a turkey on the dining table just too tempting, & he slid - but no harm to cat or turkey for my family, fortunately/
That's why Hilbert was rolling on it. Ah, the bracing scratch of terrycloth!
cute photos! good job!
Picture 1: “Ahhhhh. Finally. Some peace and quiet.”
Picture 2: (puff of smoke) *Poof!* (canned audience cheering at appearance of Chipper Charlie.) “Theeere you are. I was worried you might be hiding some treats from me.” …. (Charlie moves his head back and forth to take in the entirety of Hilbert as Da Big H covers his eyes to pretend as if Charlie is not there.) … “I see from the looks of it, you must be hiding a whole bag.” Cue the theme music.
What a splendid tummy Hilbert has. Thank you for allowing us to glimpse its magnificence, especially when Charlie fails to appreciate it.
And, if what has appeared in the background is any indication, attracted the attention of a home cleaning appliance...
And perhaps a small cat toy as well.
Those both could have been there when the first photo was taken, just out of frame.
Catnip overdose?
I see that kitten Charlie has been replaced by young adult Charlie in his bio photo. Miss the little guy - & Hopper.
And a belated thanks to Mr. Drum, who did not allow the circumstances of his bionic eyes to interfere with cat blogging.
