My latest cancer screening is boringly predictable:
For the past ten months my M-protein level has been between 0.35 and 0.40. This is not the lowest it's ever been, but it's the steadiest it's ever been. And while it would always be nice to get lower readings, this is basically good news and I hope it stays this way for a nice long time.
No news = good news. Thanks for the update! Hang in there!
If you're good with that, we are, too!
“I hope it stays this way for a nice long time.”
I do too.
+1
We like boring.
With health monitoring, boring is good.
Nice! Boring and very low is nice!
A friend of the family is going through the final days of his battle with stage 4 intestinal cancer.
Boring is good. You keep ticking.
Boring! Boring is great.
Hurray!! Let the celebratory cat parade begin! .... No no, Hilbert. You go over here. This way. .... Hopper! Hopper, where are you going? ... Does anyone here know how to herd cats?
I looked at the chart, and I was astonished at the length of time. Mostly boring for six years. I’ll drink to that!
I am confused: You cite an experiment that involved 125 persons and was done in the US. Then you argue that an experiment would have to involve at least 100 people and to take place in the US (plus some other conditions but the location US is the one most stressed in the post).
It is a strange starting point.
Az to the experiment itself I'd say the experiment shows that if you give people below poverty line $500 a month for two years they work more than if you don't give it to them. The Wall Street Journal editorial page would certainly predict it the other way round and so would David Brooks. They would predict that people would work LESS to the amount of $500 and stay below poverty line. Even if it is only a 2 year experiment the result is the opposite of conservative orthodoxy. This is by no means nothing.
Wrong place! This is worth reposting under the basic income article, I think.
This is good news, and I'm happy to hear it. Someone very close to me is 14 months into a Stage IV-B cancer diagnosis and her new therapies have been keeping her cancer markers low for several months now, thank heavens. Even though I know every cancer and every individual is different, watching your chart helps give me hope that she might be around with me for a very long time. Thank you.

Boring is good - it's keeping you alive
It also elected Joe Biden - he may be right, he may be wrong but he's just what we need right now.
Kinda like you.........
Looks better than the United States pandemic curve, I have to say.
