It's within the margin of error!

Sorry, misplaced flippancy. Happily I've reached the age when Australian medical guidelines advise against PSA testing, because we old buggers are going to die of something soon anyway.

You're not being flippant. MOE is a real thing.

I struggle to get my platelet count in the nromal range, but it's close. My doctor says the count difference could be as little as one platelet going past the sensor. He's totally not concerned.

I think Kevin should not be concerned.

    Dietary modification can help.

Cruciferous vegetables; berries; tomatoes; green tea; legumes; nuts; flax seed. See How Not to Die by Michael Greger.

According to the notes attached to my most recent PSA results: "Any serum PSA level in a patient previously treated for prostate cancer should be interpreted with caution."

Apparently there is such a thing as a "PSA bounce."

My PSA had been around 0.6 for several years, then all of a sudden it was 2.4. I was thoroughly poked and prodded, but everything seemed normal. It has been gradually declining since, and most recently was 1.2.

After my HDR Brachytherapy my Dr. told me that my PSA would go down but to expect a bounce after a few readings after which it would go down again. That’s exactly what happened and it’s currently under 1 for me.
