Screw peace, I wish you health.

I disagree with 90 to 95% of your politics, but I appreciate your fact and statistics filled and usually well reasoned posts. I just wish more of your commenters could argue as well and back up their claims like you do.

Sorry dude - not accepting that lame excuse for you checking out. I demand a blog post tomorrow! No excuses accepted.

The universe still needs you here.

Sometimes the cold rationality of analysis needs to make way for the illogical human determination of sheer grit to survive. Now is that time. Hang in there. Don't give up. Every breath, every minute, is a victory. The Immunoglobulin needs the time to work. Give it that time. Fight on. Don't give up.

And if Kevin Drum doesn't shown both the grit & the pursuit of all relevant information & treatment options, I can't imagine anyone doing a better job of it.

Thank you for keeping us posted, as miserable as you must feel right now. My prayers for your comfort, healing, and physical & mental peace continue!

Still keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Still grateful to Internet-know you. Hope to see more of your photos in the future. Parasocial relationships are weird.
Give the "immunogoblin" stuff time to kick in. Maybe you'll need help breathing for a while and that'll give you the burst of time you need to turn this around. You're a remarkable human being.

If the immunoglobulin treatment takes up to 3 weeks to work you are in early days. I bet it hurts, is scary and exhausting. One breath at a time, each one a lot of work, but it’s good work and you are strong. I send you strength and love.

I'm another lurker who has been reading you most days since the Calpundit era. Lately I've been amazed at how much more you've been blogging since leaving The Washington Monthly... you seem to have really enjoyed "retirement", and I'm so glad about that. I'm rooting for you hard from Virginia, but if this is the end for you, know that there's one more anonymous American who you've convinced to expect all econ statistics to be adjusted for inflation, to ascribe most of the 1990s crime decline to lead mitigation, and to generally expect pundits to be able to back their arguments up with charts and sources if they want me to take them seriously. It's impossible to thank you enough for all the education and entertainment give provided me over the last 20 or so years, but thank you anyway... I regret not commenting and communicating with you more over that period (I did email you once in 2006 to accuse you of avoiding discussing the Lamont-Lieberman Senate race after Lieberman started leading in the polls).

Thank you so, so much, and I hope you make it through this.

Another well wisher here, Kevin. I've learned so much from your writing over the past many years. I hope for only the best for you.

Kevin. Just know that you have been inspiring, treasured and loved for you time here. Mostly for the cats, of course. But all the graphs, too - even for those of us with lead-addled Boomer ADHD minds.

Wherever your voyage takes you now, it is with our best and most heartfelt wishes. And same to Marion & your family.

Kevin, I'm not sure how long I've been reading your work - probably since W's first term - but whenever that day was I've read every day since. It's something I really look forward to. Your insights and analysis mean so much to many people. I just want to say thank you. I'm praying hard for you to get well and keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

I’ve been a loyal reader, if an infrequent commenter, since the CalPundir days: Every day that passes without an interesting post backed up by carefully vetted statistics is a day evil advances. Or at least it feels like that lately.

Best of wishes to overcoming your health setback. The world needs you.

Hoping and wishing for recovery, Kevin. While I suspect you may not be religious, I'm praying for you, sir. I've been along for the ride since the Calpundit days -and I'm not ready for that to change.

    Kevin
Yes, I am an old timer following you since Mother Jones days.
Do us a favor and keep your mind occupied
Make a chart of medicines taken, dosages etc and plot a graph of how you're feeling. It would help keep your mind off other things.
Here's hoping your trend line is looking up
(And Marian - you hang in there too)
Our love to the cats as well
