This is the interior of the Pantheon, everyone's favorite building in Rome. It's a panoramic shot, which turned out to be surprisingly difficult to stitch together properly after I got home. In part this was because the roof should look symmetrical, but for some reason I didn't center myself when I took the picture. That's just sloppiness, and I paid for my sin with a great deal of time in Photoshop.

great photo -- next time be there for the rose petals -- https://www.italymagazine.com/featured-story/pentecost-pantheon-rainfall-rose-petals
an idea that works better in the imagination....rose petals gently floating down would be lovely. But it didn't quite work out that way....
Love the "Brutalist" dome. In another time, it would have been daubed all over in too-small-to-appreciate paintings.
Nice photo. There's a harmony of blue (teal?) with the orange glow. I would have been scared that movement among the people would jeopardize the photo merge, but you pulled it off.

I was holding out for Shemp, but this one is heading straight for the Sargasso Sea.
If we get to Shemp, it'll be a bad year.
Very nice. What's up next, Piazza Navona?
The off center position makes it more real.
The Pantheon is an astonishing architectural accomplishment...its vast size can only be appreciated by being inside it....see note from Wiki
"Almost two thousand years after it was built, the Pantheon's dome is still the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome"
Still the largest!
Best Wishes, Traveller
It wasn't my fav - the Forum, now that's my speed. But the pic, as usual is lovely and may sway my vote.
There used to be a great seafood restaurant right by the Pantheon. I forget the name.
I kinda like that it's not perfectly centered. Lovely gold light, too.
