This was the view a couple of hours before sunset yesterday. Five hours later we had thunder and lightning and hailstones in the backyard. Hopper fled under the blankets, while Hilbert bravely rode out the storm on the coffee table with us. By 10 o'clock it was all over.

Could you hear the ground hissing as the water hit it?
A bit off topic....
Talking about Covid deaths gets boring, so you really hear about them, even if we're still at over 1,000/day...unless, they are unusual. So we hear about the break through cases. That will get a blurb on the "front page" even--at least as equivalent to states going to "crises standards of care". Unfortunately, I don't have the numbers.
The problem with becoming inured to the reality of Covid, is that that will distort the reality of Covid.
Yes. This has already happened with mass shootings.
Nice photo, by the way! It has an ominous feel, perfect for this news week.
I heard it in Santa Monica and they reminded me of thunder and lightning and in Rapid City South Dakota!
Drone shots of beach oil slicks in the works?
Nope! The area around the oil slick is off limits to drones through the end of the week.
The Storm is coming...
Has KD taken up the Qmantle?
