In this picture, a lone Canada goose floats silently on my local lake as the sun goes down over Woodbridge.
Originally, though, there were several geese. I got rid of them all and just left the one because I liked it better that way. Photoshop for the win!
The other day I was out walking near sunset and I heard a sound overhead. I looked up and there was a small group of geese flying one way and another small group flying diagonally to them in the other direction, and passing close to one another. As they passed the two groups greeted one another with loud, raucous honking. I had no idea they did that!
They might have been honking each for the benefit of their own group. Stay in order, fellows, don't be distracted.
One group telling the other to turn around?
People then these idealized shots are easy...they are not. I particularly like the break up of the sun's ray in to slats.

PS it is easier to talk about Photography than difficult policy ideas or decisions that are...difficult....lol and grin but true.
Consigning geese to the memory hole?
Cancel culture at it's best- harmless.
If there is anything I dislike, it is typing "its" & seeing it morph into "it's" as I press "post comment." This WordPress platform needs to offer an edit feature, plus (at minimum) a like or upvote option - & maybe an ignore option to allow us to avoid one or two obnoxious purveyors of unalloyed bigotry.
Think I'll see if I can delete "it's" from any automatic changes.
With apologies for a lengthy remark due to annoyed reaction.
