Lunchtime Photo

As we move ever deeper into fall, here's a reminder of the glories of spring.

And as a special present for all of you on my birthday, a regular reader has finally educated me on how to make pictures enlargeable with a plugin so simple even I can use it. Just put your mouse over the picture and you'll see a little magnifying glass with a plus sign. Click it and the picture gets embiggened. Hooray!

Yay! The plugin you found also makes your pictures clickable (opens photo in new tab) in my RSS aggregator (Feedreader Online), which was not previously the case. Thank you!

PS: There are also bone simple plugins to...

I've sent you these links before, but I'm sure you can find them if you care about your readers at all.

I have no fuckin' clue how you get photographs like these. I expect it takes sitting still with equipment at had for longer, almost, that I can imagine. Still.

Drum. WTF. You capture a hummingbird sucking in your backyard from a plant. Not so hard. But not easy either. I've sat in my backyard here in Wisconsin too, and they want to be seen, but.

So, admirable. And you publish. I would, too.

Hummingbirds. Nothing better. I'm happy for your photos, but your politics are decrepit. Ever wonder if the hummingbirds you lay in wait for for so long wish it didn't take so long for you to capture them? All your lies, from the start of your career as a writer 'til now say no.''

Not too late. You could still come around. Listen to what Bernie's been saying since before you were born and agree. We're all being fucked by the powers that be. You pretend to give a shit, but you don't know the difference yet. It's important. Before you die.

Yeah. Just so you all know. Old people, like most of us, are doomed. Like Drum. Atman projects notwithstanding. Here we go. Off and away. So, here we go. Now we, oh no. I know this something is, oh no. Here we go.

Happy Birthday Mr. Drum, may you have years of two more score at least.

As to your politics, they are just fine. Even when I heartily disagree, they are still fine because they are smart...which, I suppose is what makes you such a formidable voice....and therefore frustrating and/or difficult to counter.

Be that as it may, today is a joyous day....Did you ever think you would get this old? Throw out your illness, (thank God in remission!), but never in college or high school could you have conceived of you being....this old.

And it is still good, great, being this old.

    Congratulations and Happy Birthday.
