This is an oak tree silhouetted against a stormy sky a couple of weeks ago. As it happens, the stormy sky produced a few drizzles here and there but nothing more. We could use the water, so it was a missed chance.

In California you'll never know the thrill of being trapped outside a long distance from anywhere when suddenly the weather turns and a cloud as black as death and about ten feet off the ground goes over you with a blast of cold while you're trying to run from it.
On the other hand, California sounds comfortable.
Can almost feel the movement of that cloud.
