Lunchtime Photo

This boat did not do well during Hurricane Ida. I took this picture on Highway 315 somewhere south of Houma, which was piled high with trash and ruined furniture that still hadn't been picked up. I suppose somebody will come along eventually for it.

Only if the glass is half-full. Likely as not in this case the glass has a leak…. Hopefully it does not extent to the boat’s fuel tanks…

As much as I admire Kaine & have worn my "highbrow" pin & shirt proudly), he seems blinded by his optimism sometimes.

Manchin likes to act as if he's still governing; he doesn't make a good senator & deprecates the very people he represents. I'd like to see West Virginia's coal miners established in jobs like the solar panels program in Virginia, not relegated to black-lung disease deaths or unemployment.

And Sinema can pack her big Pharma moneybags & clothing choices & just go elsewhere. Hopefully, her replacement will function as an actual Democrat & Mark Kelly - Kelley? forgot to check) won't keep attending shindigs on Manchin's houseboat.

Virginia? The governor had over 1,000 bills left to sign by midnight tonight because he wasted time appearing on Fox news and other photo ops instead of actually ahem governing.

Not necessarily a valid supposition. I read a story a while back about a contractor to the city of NY which does nothing but retrieve abandoned boats from the river, some afloat and others not.
