Nice! I love these guys. So elegant.
I saw one in the yard a couple of days ago. But it wasn't the first of the year. That one was on a warm day back in early March (!), a very confused individual.
Hey, we're still getting rain up here in the northern Sierra Foothills, and I'm in no hurry for summer!
But the photo is a nice one.
What a cool coincidence. I just saw one today up in the tree canopy, fluttering around. Nice early butterfly species here in Connecticut.
It's as if a butterfly fan has blossomed on the twig; a wonderful scene.
