This is the famous I.M. Pei pyramid, built as a new main entrance for the Louvre in 1988. You've seen it a thousand times before, so what makes my version different? First, there's the moon in the background. Second, I took the photo, not some other hack. Enjoy!

Noice!
Parisians we’re so furious at this pyramid. The architect was walking out the entrance and an elderly French lady came up and hit him with her umbrella
I hear they also hated the Eiffel Tower. And before that, that dowdy old gothic thing, Notre Dame cathedral.
And yet, reputedly, they love Jerry Lewis. I don't see how these people are what defines good taste...
Paris is for me…the most delightful city in the world….
Some Parisians like it and some hate it is what I heard. When I visited I felt it gave the area the unmistakable ambiance of a 1980s American mall. One man's opinion.
There are actually 5 pyramids at the Louvre. One is inverted.
They also hated the Centre Pompidou before they came to love it. It's an old Paris tradition.

Don't you just "Louvre" my sense of humor? (but not my spelling)
I know I know - "Pei"back will be a bitch.
Next up -- IM Pei's art museum in his family's ancestral home of Suzhou, China.
