This is a fragment of the famous theme restaurant at LAX. At least, it's a fragment of what used to be the famous theme restaurant at LAX until a few years ago when it closed for lack of business. However, the observation deck got rebuilt a while ago and you can still visit it one weekend per month. Or maybe not. Has anyone been there in past couple of months?

It was a theme restaurant in a major international airport and they couldn't get any business?
What was the theme, the zombie apocalypse?
During COVID?? More Life After People but still…
Or, perhaps the main draw was being able to hit the observation deck to watch planes. Something which would have “died” after 9/11…
Nobody even remembers Covid anymore.
It's like it never even happened.
Judging by the picture it was probably a parking ramp themed restaurant.

I was in the restaurant a few years ago (pre-Covid). It was outside security and a bit a hike from the terminal so you needed some time and effort to get there. The decor was great,mid-60's modern but looked tired. I think it dated from when people went to airports to watch planes and dream of flying, before flights became literal sky buses.
As long as I lived in LA, just south of the airport (1962-1980) it was always a restaurant. Kind of a cool looking building, but I never went there.
Ate there three or four times over the last four decades. I guess that wasn’t enough to keep it business.
Your photo hardly does it justice. I prefer this one:

Groovy. How was the food
I've seen photos of that before, never realized it was a restaurant!
OT: I love your Aquinas quote*, and was planning to borrow it... ...but as is so often the case with great quotes, it might be at least somewhat apocryphal. https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/kevin-deyoung/does-the-thomas-aquinas-quotation-exist/
