      If America had decent transit, there'd be no chance of getting hit by a subway train, because we'd long since have adopted plexiglass platform gates.

      Oh well, at least we have have amazing automatic weaponry.

    I still find it weird that a Los Angeles subway system exists. Whenever it shows up in a TV show or movie, I always think it's some bogus screenwriter or a location artifact like when they filmed Rumble in the Bronx in Vancouver, BC, and Mount Fraser kept showing up in the background. For decades, LA was the opposite of places with a subway. I'd take the bus in LA now and then when I used to visit, but it's great to know they have a subway there, too, now.

    I sometimes wave my smartphone in a linear direction parallel to the motion of objects I'm trying to capture, in order to exaggerate movement. It's a strange effect if you manage to match the speed of (or come close to) the object that is moving.
