This is a bateau chugging downstream on the Seine. A few minutes after taking this picture I myself would be on one of the bateaux chugging along the Seine.

I remember doing one of those "walking tour" Youtube videos that went along the Seine, and at one point it said "Parisians don't swim in the Seine because it is very polluted". Still looks pretty, though.
We were once staying in an apartment on Ile Saint Louis when in the middle of the night some drunk teenagers went swimming in the Seine below our balcony. Some French police boats quickly arrived and arrested them.
The French do inject oxygen into the Seine to help keep the fish alive.
What’s that big radio antenna in the background that intrudes into every picture of Paris?
In other words, proof that you are in Seine.
