This is the interior, looking up, of "Connector," a monumental sculpture by Richard Serra. It stands in the courtyard of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, where it is alleged to connect all its disparate elements.

Well, umm, yes, not quite sure what to say
WTH does "...it is alleged to connect all its disparate elements..." mean?
It refers to connecting Segerstrom Hall (for Broadway and big ballet performances) and the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, the two main buildings. This sits on the plaza between them. Fun fact: kids love to stand in the middle where Kevin took this photo and make noises that sound like police sirens. Very loud ones.
Kind of the way that little rug that Lebowski (the Dude) had, that "tied the room together"?
