A couple of days ago a fire broke out at one of our historic World War II blimp hangars. By the time it was over the entire east side had been gutted. The two top pictures show what it looked like on the day after. The bottom picture shows the hangar in better days (the hangar on the left is the one that burned).

Here are some photos of the blimp hangers at Moffett Field.

That blimp hanger at Moffett was a fairly intimidating building when driving past it.
Bowstring truss, extremely dangerous under fire conditions.
Same thing happened to one of the blimp hangers on the Oregon Coast. They were using it to store hay, which probably spontaneously combusted. 50+ year old timber burns really well.
I have been present at several large, old farming buildings/corrals fires - you aren't joking. Spectacular. And of course horrifying*...
*What is stored inside farming buildings...
If Notre Dame can be restored, the blimp hangar can be restored.
Damn, where am I going to park my blimp?
I’m paid $185 per hour to complete the task using an Apple laptop. I absolutely didn’t think it was conceivable, but my dependable buddy convinced me to give this straight forward chance a go after she made $26,547 in just 4 weeks working on it. Visit the following page to find out additional

My question has always been, if they're that large and moving that slowly aren't they a sitting duck?
