Lunchtime Photo

Here's another one of the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park. This one is called Cliff Palace, and you can see a tour group at center right. But I didn't have a reservation and probably couldn't have made the hike down there anyway. So a long distance view at midday is all I got.

    Great photos nonetheless! I was there once. You might one day consider Chaco Canyon, if you haven't been there already. Lots of the sites can be driven to, and the walking isn't bad. Now, those washboard roads getting there, that's something else...

      OMG, those washboard roads. We took a rental out there from Gallup NM. The sites are amazing. It's all flat Kevin. You'll love it.

    That may be all you got, but it's stunning & more than I'll ever seen in person, so no apologetic tone necessary!

    It's a good time to see something other than snow & ice - especially when it's a native site that isn't facing destruction.
