3. Standing in the Middle of Nowhere January 30, 2024 – 5:06 pm at

   Lovely wide view. My first time to Silverton was when a friend suggested I tag along on a bike ride. Turned out to be the 25th Iron Horse Classic, racing the train from Durango. I made it, but the top of the 2nd pass over 10,000' was true joy as I realized it was descent all the way from there.

   From Silverton to Ouray is spectacular, with hot springs as a reward.
