This is the Jesuit Church in Vienna. It's a fine example of Baroque architecture, but that's not why I visited. I was attracted by the remarkable—and photogenic—use of color inside. The fake marble comes in hues of green, rose, and yellow, set off by gold leaf everywhere. It's not really what I would associate with Jesuits, but I suppose Jesuit taste comes in all varieties.

Wow. You say the colors were green, rose, and yellow, while my monitor shows mostly light purple and robin's egg blue. I never followed the silly "what color is this dress" meme but here it is. Is there any way to upload/download/adjust for this? Or is fixing it on one monitor/browser just going to mess it up on another?
Looks like the interior is mostly illuminated by sky light through the upper windows. Things that should be white (such as a tourist's clothing) are robin's egg. Just adjust the color temperature in your favorite photo editor to make that white and you'll see the described colors.
Amazing what a few keystrokes on photoshop can do

That ceiling is flat. One of the greatest baroque trompe l'oeil masterpieces in the world.
Seriously?
Fake marble? Like, faux paint? Jesuits can't afford marble?
It would make a nice chapel at Mar-a-Lago with a bit more gilt.

Oh great, it's right near St Stephen's and I missed it. Have to go back again I guess. I did go to a Hayden Mass at some other baroque church there after a day of touristing though, and it was pretty great. It's where a proper older Austrian lady (actually wearing a tweed skirt/suit) next to me touched my arm and helpfully said "Dein Hut!" - words actually included in my very limited German vocabulary.
