In honor of the end of the Paris Olympics, here's one of my last remaining pictures from our trip to Paris a couple of years ago. This is the Palais de Justice taken from the Seine. You can't see it in the photo, but it was pretty busy this day, with gendarmes blocking off entrances all over the place. Apparently the trial of a drug kingpin was taking place.

Nice photo. A good example of the grand architecture in central Paris.
I am confused. I thought I would at least see a cat in one of the windows.

Le chat de la justice?-)
You have to go through the Palais de Justice to get to La Sainte-Chapelle. When I was walking down the hall, a man accompanied by two gendarmes asked me: “Touriste?”
I answered: “Oui.”
He held up his cuffed hands and said: “Moi aussi!” (“Me too!”j
