This is a penguin at the San Diego Zoo, picking nits or bugs or who knows what from his fur. I wish I could own a penguin. I'd like to see how the cats would react.

Penguins are tough critters on cats. Few if any cats are to be found at the South Pole.

That's an African Penguin, which is by far the most common species you'll find in a zoo, as they adapt well and can tolerate a wide range of climates. It and three other closely related species are sometimes known as "jackass penguins" because of their calls.
