Here is tonight's occultation of Mars. You can see Mars in the upper right just exiting the occultation.
Viewing conditions here in Southern California were ideal: cold, clear, and bright. Unfortunately, I forgot all about it until my sister called around 7:15 pm. But I realized I still had time to get downstairs and see the end of the occultation, so I told her I'd send a picture and then did just that.
Here's a full frame crop of the same picture. Both of these were taken with my camera, not my telescope.
Very cool! You again taught me something...Thanks. Was this hand held or tripod.
What the heck, maybe a request...could you take and post an image of both Venus and Mars?
Yes, I know I could look these up through Google, but from you would be different, maybe more elemental....lol (Oh, maybe you can't do these with your telescope? I may have read this from you....hummm)
Tripod, of course, with a remote shutter release.
Your metadata says F/4, 1/640, 220mm, ISO 100. Is that right?
My cousin could truly receive money in their spare time on their laptop. their best friend had been doing this 4 only about 12 months and by now cleared the debt. in their mini mansion and bought a great Car.
That is what we do... https://profitguru9.blogspot.com/
I went out at about 8 pm and there it was, a very tiny dot right where I was told it would be. I listen to an alt rock radio station, and while I was driving home from work I was surprised that there was quite a lot of talk going on about this and what planet it was. Who knew you can be a Killers fan and be interested in Mars. LOL
My cousin could genuinely get cash in their extra time on their PC. their dearest companion had been doing this 4 somewhere around a year and at this point cleared the obligation. in their smaller than usual house and purchased an extraordinary Vehicle.
That is our specialty. http://www.richsalaries55.blogspot.com/
Sometimes you have to listen to your own soul's warning.
Anyone else watch the Artemis Orion capsule live feed from Monday as it flew around the Moon one last time before it changed its trajectory to return to Earth? This was the view once Orion's feed returned as it made its way around the dark side of the Moon: https://youtu.be/BluJKCjLec4?t=232
It was the most stunning image from Orion, looking towards Earth with the barren landscape of the Moon in the foreground, the terrain exaggerated with the long shadows of the sun.
testing...
I saw Mars Wednesday evening, when it was still chasing the moon, very red and obviously Mars, when I left work Thursday night, 6:30ish, I looked up and it was gone, kind of freaked out for a few seconds, then pulled out the Planets app, and saw it was behind the moon, I was surprised how fast it "caught up" to the moon in one day/night.
Another view, from APOD
