Nope, no tampons in boys’ bathrooms

Did Tim Walz force Minnesota schools to put tampons in boys' bathrooms? Daniel Dale says no:

All 15 of the districts that responded Friday to a CNN survey of 25 districts, including the Minneapolis and St. Paul districts in the state’s two most populous cities, said they comply with the law without providing tampons in traditional boys’ bathrooms.

This is the same thing I kinda sorta reported a week ago. But why didn't I survey Minnesota's school districts? Because I'm lazy and I don't have a boss who can make me. The real question is why some Minnesota reporter has never done this, given that it's been live issue there for months. Beats me. For some reason it took CNN to do the job.

This is a good example of an increasing trend on the right: inventing things that could be true and then going completely nuts about it. Frequently, these micro-panics turn out to be about things that have never happened or, just maybe, have happened once or twice. But that's enough to cause a meltdown about the decline of Western civilization.

Honestly, people need to get a grip. Find a hobby or something instead of going into hysterics over every little thing. Fox News is bad for your health.

The "outrage invention" tactic has an added bonus for its users: tricking liberals into defending something that never happened.

(I mean, I would. Tampons in boys' bathrooms harm no one.)

Decrying nonexistent situations IS their hobby. We can only hope that it raises their blood pressure more than ours.

They're anger junkies: they LIVE for this stuff. It brings excitement into their lives, gives them something to share with their fellow-cultists, and talk about and embroider in their social gatherings, and so on. It's entertaining.

And worse, it validates their bigotries. Democrats do this because they're a seething hive of homosexual communist cross-dressing groomers, where the races mix freely against the clear will of the Lord, you can't tell the boys from the girls, and sneaky globalist intellectuals plot to destroy America from within. It makes clear who is In-Group and who is Other, and it permits them to ignore any norms of civilization with respect to Others.

It's hardly a new trick. See, eg, Mussolini, who "gave them permission to be their worst selves."

Oh I don't know, maybe because they live there and know the law and know the school districts reporters in Minnesota don't feel the need to go on a snipe hunt because a bunch of dementheads gin up a phony issue. It says more about CNN they actually went along with it than the press in Minnesota.

Don't they have the imagination to predict what insane Republican talking point will emerge from the low IQ swamp? Sad.

Tampons should only be available with a prescription from a panel of doctors who will certify, under oath, that you are, in fact, a real girl.

    This could be true!

The number of US Customs and Border Protection workers who have committed suicide so far this year has almost eclipsed the total number who took their own life in 2023 — as exhausted agents say the crisis at the besieged southern border is taking its toll. At least seven CBP employees have committed suicide this year, just one less than the eight who took their own life last year — with more than four months still remaining in 2024, CBP’s former “suicidologist,” Dr. Kent Corso, told The Post.

Why couldn’t the Donald save them? God saved him! Why wouldn't God save them?

How is this for false outrage:

A week or so ago the Daily Signal had a post about soccer player Korbin Albert being canceled because of homophobic/transphobic social media posts.

    Well:
Korbin Albert was on the American women’s Olympic soccer team. The coach defended her publicly several times.

She scored the winning goal in the win over Australia in the group stage and guess what? All her teammates ran to her to hug her and jump up and down just like they do for every player who scores a goal. And she played in the final and assisted on a pass to Swanson.

In other words, it was a total lie that she was cancelled in any way.

Yes, let’s get a grip and acknowledge that transgender folks are “weird”. They just are. Sorry. I think it’s important to admit that. Democrats are supposed to love weird. Or something. In solidarity, I shall declare myself weird too. Not that anyone cares…

    1. Josef

Weird is in the eye of the beholder. Who is anyone to judge anyone else's weirdness? And no we don't have to admit trans are weird. Why single one group out of countless ones? We are all weird to someone. Even you I'm sure.

No no no. Get MORE hysterical! Democrats are coming to take your Barcolounger. They're going to force you to eat fish and turn Nebraska over to China.

The more Fox viewers who stroke out, the better.

Recently heard from a Trumpster, Tim Walz ate horse semen. The willingness to believe or at the very least repeat absolute ???????? is disheartening.

And what is so frightening about tampons in boys' bathrooms? I can imagine middle-school boys having fun with the tampons and some red paint but other than the threat of juvenile humor what is the problem? Don't boys have mothers and sisters who use menstrual products? Or are female bodies so shameful that any hint of their functioning is beyond the pale in polite society? (hmm, I may have hit on something with that last notion . . . )

My understanding was that the tampons were in the girls' locker room, which is traditionally used by visiting boys' teams. Hence, the declaration that the tampons were in the boys' restroom.

This has not been an issue, live or dead, in Minnesota at all.
