    Tesla didn't make the cut--what a shame....
Ok, not reported in that article, and though I can find world wide sales (405K) for fourth quarter, don't have US sales but expect it to be less than half that.
Tesla may have more sales than Subaru, less than Nissan in US.

Percent change for Q4 based on year over year sales, i.e. not difference from Q3.

I got the message. Cars were extra expensive… loan interest rates were way up… and supply was for shit. During a service visit to a dealership, there weren’t any cars in the showroom and few on the lot. Why bother?

With these colors, it looks like Honda is doing great, and Genesis very poorly!

Red = bad; green = good. Green means go!

How is it possible that Tesla, with 3.5% market share is not in the top 20?

GM + Ford + Toyota = 45% of the market, and the next 17 of the top 20 share 55%. 55/17 = 3%. There's something wrong with the numbers.

Tesla more than made the cut, sold over 400,000 units in the US and year over year was up 44%.

The chart may have been done right before Tesla announced deliveries which was Monday, but it really shows how much an effect a tempermental CEO can have on the image of a company.

If any other US company with over a billion in sales was growing about 50% year on year with zero advertising and zero marketing you wouldn't hear the end of it.

Anyway, Tesla is in the top 20, by next year maybe top ten.

Actually, Tesla is already in the Top Ten, I think, beating out BMW.

If you would have told BMW in 2007 that by 2022 they would be behind a company which did not even exist, they would have laughed you out of the room.
