    I assume that you understand that the President has very little effect on violent crime rates in the US but that you posted this as a way of refuting GOP claims that they are better on crime than the Dems are.

    Like not only are your assumptions wrong, GOP folk, but even if they were not, you would STILL lose this argument...

      Although it is arguable that, unlike other presidents, Trump encouraged or at least gave a permissive structure to right-wing violence, and hate crimes began going back up starting under Trump.

      This trend is counter to the overall trend of crimes, including violent crimes.

    From Kevin´s violence theory it must be that 16 to 24 years before Trump was POTUS leaded fuel was sold again or lead was reused for waterpipes again. Conclusion: Clinton is responsible.
