Raw Data: Leak Investigations Over the Past Decade

The Obama administration was no slouch when it came to siccing the Justice Department on suspected leakers, but the Trump administration put them to shame. Via the Intercept, here are the annual numbers for leak investigations referred to the Justice Department since 2009. Trump averaged 84 per year compared to 40 per year for Obama.

Well, the Trump (mal)administration did leak like a goddamn sieve, so this is no surprise. But it was a golden age for the WH press corps -- just sit back and wait for your phone to ring: "Omg, you'll never believe what this orange assclown did today...". Now they have to go and sit and listen to Jen Psaki read charts to them and it's so zzzzzz.

Given this is theIntercept reporting on Donald Trump (whom they do not support), I imagine this volume of FBI directed leak investigation is evidence of El Jefe's regime being the most transparent in Washington at least since Good Government Theodore Roosevelt & a further indictment of Barry Hussein Obummer's sliminess.

There is another difference: Obama's strategy worked. Few leaks occurred. Trump's admin on the other hand leaked ALWAYS, Trump being the main leaker himself.

    Hilarious!

    I have a theory.

When an administration does more shady shit, more people are going to blow whistles.

As those people gradually get run out of their jobs or quit, the number of people blowing whistles declines while the shady shit continues apace.
