Raw data: The contribution of wives to family income

This is apropos of nothing in particular. I just happened to run into it this afternoon:

The contribution of wives to family income steadily increased until 2010 and then leveled out. Both men and women exited the labor force following the 2010 recession, so this probably isn't due to fewer wives working. More likely it's because women's earnings relative to men increased strongly from 1980-2010 but then slowed down after 2010.

    AP:

Donald Trump was whisked off the stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania after apparent gunshots rang through the crowd.

Trump was showing off a chart of border crossing numbers when bangs started ringing through the crowd. Trump could be seen reaching with his right hand toward his neck. There appeared to be blood on his face.

from the footage i saw on the disney branch of the lamestream media, looked like a bee flew into trump's marzipan coiffure & he reached up his right hand to swat it. the sudden arm motion by an elderly, physically unfit man, possibly dehydrated in the hot summer sun, led to him falling. & the swat at his ear caused bruising, & from that, a bleed, typical of an older person with poor cardiovascular health who takes bloodthinners.

all the damage we saw was coumadin ear.

Steven Cheung, a Trump spokesman, said former President Donald J. Trump is “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.” He added that Trump “thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act.”

i wonder if this is what mark robinson, lieutenant governor of NC, had in mind

    wapo:

Speaking in a small-town church last month, Mark Robinson, the Trump-endorsed GOP nominee for governor in North Carolina, told the audience that “some folks need killing.”

“It’s time for somebody to say it. It’s not a matter of vengeance. It’s not a matter of being mean or spiteful. It’s a matter of necessity!” Robinson, the lieutenant governor, said, according to a video of the speech surfaced by the New Republic.

The recording shows Robinson shouting about “wicked people,” including liberals, socialists and communists. He was introduced at the event by a local pastor, the Rev. Cameron McGill, who told the audience: “Who’s behind President Biden, and that administration? Is it Obama. Is it Clinton? Read your Bible. It is the Devil.”

i just hope that john f. kennedy, jr., who was there on the dais with other select rabble didn't have any terrible flashbacks to his dad.

There were 3 “shots”. Nobody behind him in the video they’re showing appears to have been injured or even flinched. Weird.

And apparently hit. Maybe he’ll get a Republican Purple Heart band-aid.
They are saying shooter and one other person are dead. So I suppose it’s real.

Think of the timing. How incredibly motivational this is for the wingnuts. What more could they have asked for?

They are a cult of people whose entire lives have been steeped in every conspiracy theory imaginable, often with deep dives into every permutation of the Kennedy assassination.

The idea of finding a patsy, conveniently killing him and staging an assassination is exactly the kind of thing the ratfucking crew have spent their lives dreaming of.

We will be seeing that picture of him, face bloodied, defiantly shaking his fist, American flag in the background a lot, that’s for sure.

Just as many Americans protested and some rioted after someone was killed by a cop, I suppose it’s only fair that the maggots have their time. Bring it on!

don't leave out the heritage foundation president who said just last week, in reference to project 2025, that we are in the midst of the 2nd american revolution that will be bloodless if the left allows it.

That uphill push from the 1990s through 2010 took an enormous toll on women.

    It was unsustainable.

Child care and working full time and doing all the household chores did not cut the mustard. Plus even as more women worked, household income remained much flatter. Single mothers fell further behind because of this, they worked more and had less.

And it's really important to recognize, going into this election, that women understand these economic lessons.

    from,

    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-odd-questions-raised-secret-service/

    . . . .
In response to a photo of Trump raising his arm below an American flag, blood coming from his ear as Secret Service appears to lift him, Delgado [formerly a senior adviser to the Trump presidential campaign in 2016 who worked for the Trump transition team after the 2016 election] added, "Looks to me like: Secret Service leaving Trump completely open/exposed for further shots."

"Yeah, I would LOVE someone to explain this," she then added. "Not weird at all."

Delgado further said, "This is totally normal, you guys. Because when a presidential candidate has just been shot at, the first thing FOUR SS agents do is leave him COMPLETELY OPEN with his head and shoulders sticking out, ON A STAGE, WHERE HE HAS JUST BEEN SHOT. NOTHING ODD HERE."

She then added a caveat: "Of course, it's just possible his security detail is just f------- horrid at their job. Never rule out incompetence as the answer to things."

As someone who works in a traditionally female field, I can certainly say that wage stagnation seems like a likely cause.

Where's the chart!? So no, I don't channel a Wendy's commercial from the 80s that well, but it does indeed seem like something for which a supporting chart is indicated.
