Republican impeachment inquiry not going well

Republicans revved up their impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden today. So how's it going?

Keep in mind that these are not a bunch of spear carriers for the Biden crime family. They are the Republicans' own witnesses.

When even Steve Bannon has a point, you know you're in trouble.

Speaking of dress codes, looks like somebody finally convinced Bannon that wearing one collared shirt over another collared shirt just makes him look like a weirdo.

seems like it was an appropriate dress code for bannon, as he is a huge weirdo. and i'm pretty sure i've seen him go 3 and maybe even 4 shirts deep.

The whole point of this clownshow isn't to seriously impeach Joe Biden, it's to generate scrolling chyrons on Fox and CNN at car dealerships and barber shops across America reading "Congressional committee holding hearing on Biden corruption". They just have to pray the sound isn't on.

They also need to hope that they can drag it out for 12 months. They really started too early and McCarthy knows it but he couldn't hold the rest of the nutjobs back any longer.

The evidence keeps mounting, and Americans will put two and two together. Joe Biden is going to slaughter this party of clowns in next year's election.

I disagree. I think the Rs / Fox are doing a good job of making everyone angry. The incumbent loses when people are this angry, no matter how absurd the opponent is.

I dunno, all they needed in 2016 was just enough people in swing states questioning Hillary Clinton's fitness for office. It worked then and can work again.

The people who think they should be responsible for everything while claiming to be responsible for nothing are doing this so they don't have to try real hard and not shut down the government.

Yah. I'm pretty sure McCarthy didn't really want to do this, he's just throwing a bone to the nutjobs by letting them do it. And he's also letting the nutjobs *manage* the impeachment, which is why it's a clown show.

It’s a clown show because there is no actual crimes to investigate if they called the real witnesses it would be over in like 15 minutes.

Sounds like a great double-reverse play! Boo Radley Comer's committee ends up saying "Biden da man, cleaner than a hound's tooth, ain't no bugs on he." And then Comer endorses Biden so Ds won't trust him any more and then Biden will lose. Sounds complicated, gotta work.

Was this organized by that Jim Jordan lawyer/assistant guy who was so pathetic in the Ukraine impeachment hearings? I've seen that he's still around sitting behind Jordan in hearings

If this happened to Trump, he'd be out yelling about his complete exhoneration endlessly and be parroted by every news outlet right and left. But with Biden it'll just be a non-story that the whole thing was a right wing scam that they couldn't even pull off competently.

The Republicans believe their own BS. They have said the Trump impeachments were total BS for so long they thought they could get back be staging their own BS impeachment of Biden. They are finiding it's not as easy as they thought.

According to some far-right politicians, lying is a high crime, regardless of if you were under threat of perjury. But remember, being called out for hypocrisy has no effect -- they will keep on being hypocritical. And liars. And idiots.
